I’m a hybrid designer with a critical lens at the core. Through co-creation, storytelling and approaches from different design disciplines, I work toward equitable design outcomes — all blended with systems thinking, a research lens and cultural humility.
For the last 7 years, I have worked with non-profits (Aga Khan Foundation, Amnesty International), start-ups (Nestaway, Desiderata Impact Ventures), public sector institutions (Oslo Universitetssykehus, Kriminalomsorgsdirektoratet, Bydel Gamle Oslo) and large-scale organisations (UN Global Compact, The LEGO Group, DNB) with design in different capacities.
I currently work at Designit, Oslo as a senior service designer.
My design approach:
Working with people
I strive to bring together different perspectives into my work. I’m on a learning journey to understand and disrupt colonial practices embedded within design. Facilitating processes which make people feel included and represented is important for me.
Make it - quick & dirty or polished
I’m a visual and tangible thinker. Trained in visual communication and interaction design I enjoy giving form to abstract concepts to sense make. Form can be a table capturing data systematically or a visual capturing actionable insights.
Working across levels (micro to macro)
From touchpoint to strategy, complexity is a good friend. With a bachelor in visual communication blended with a masters in service and systemic design, I weave through different levels within projects understanding how aspects are inter-related and uncovering the unintended consequences of design interventions.
My core values in design
Co-creative
Design doesn’t happen in isolation. It’s a culmination of different realities coming together in a shape/form.
Explorative
The design process is uncertain and affords space to challenge normative approaches and work differently.
Reflective
While challenging norms and breaking rules, I strive toward reflecting and learning from my work.
