Design thinking for account planning

This workshop was developed for a client wanting to unlock more opportunities with their existing accounts. Designit crafted an engaging two-day workshop which was rolled out across multiple locations in Europe and the Americas. The sessions focused on how to use design drive innovation methodology to open up new growth opportunities.

The workshop structure

The structure was modelled over the design principles of divergence and convergence. The session starts out with mapping the business context, creating a vision to work toward and then setting up a preliminary roadmap through back-casting. Then we shift gears and place focus on the user and work toward prototyping a “mock” conversation with a client to generate and frame opportunities.

Participant feedback

“We came together and were creative. A bigger picture came out if that. It helps the team to look beyond”

“We learned methods for how to look at the account planning differently. We need that”

“The value is to share across teams. It made me realise every account is different”

Role & responsibilities

I developed the content for these training sessions along with a business designer. Together we were responsible for setting up multiple sessions across Europe. Each session had around 30 participants from different backgrounds and lasted over two days. We facilitated the workshops in a team of three.
